I have started unfollowing people on LinkedIn. It is not because of what they think, but because their posts are clearly written by AI. So I think it is only fair that I tell you what I do with my own posts.
I use AI for one thing only: the picture at the top of the post. It is a style choice, and it saves me a few hours I would rather spend writing.
If you read one of my posts, the words are mine. Including the mistakes and sometimes clumsy wording. For spelling checking, I use the open source software “LanguageTool”. That is it, no AI.
A post written by a machine tells you nothing about the person who sent it. But for me that is important: I spent a year writing a book about the fact that the human edge is the part nobody can copy.
I am interested in *you*.
Let's be honest
Since the beginning of this year I have noticed I am actively avoiding posts that are written by AI. I even unfollow people on LinkedIn when the AI-slop is too obvious. So I think it is only fair that I tell you what I do.
In each post, I use AI for one thing only: the picture at the top. It is a style choice, and it saves me a few hours I would rather spend writing.
If you read one of my posts, you should know the words are mine. All text you read; that is all me. Including the mistakes and sometimes clumsy wording. I use the open source software “LanguageTool” for spelling and grammar checking. That's it.
There is no honesty in AI
AI tells nothing about the person behind the post. And that is what I like to hear. I am interested in you.
